One side is for saying the key covers on mechanical keyboards and the other side is for easily removing the mechanical switches under the key cover by pinching them from the sides.

Important note: Depending on the model of your keyboard, your switches may be soldered to the keyboard motherboard.

In such keyboards, the solders must be cleaned with a soldering machine before using the apparatus and disassembling.
